Kara Schiaparelli

Currently I am an Account Coordinator at DCG Communications in Washington, D.C. working as a communications contractor for VA's Office of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. During my time at American University, I interned six times over the course of two and a half years, gaining experience at non-profits, PR firms and marketing companies. Throughout my internships I learned valuable professional skills such as mounting coverage in weekly and monthly reports, writing written materials (press releases, email pitches and social media copies) for campaigns and recording analytics for supervisors.
